Today's Lesson Plan:

I am including the lesson plan from our session today to thoroughly demonstrate what we discussed and went over. Today's lesson was the leftovers from our last session. During our last meeting we spent a lot more time on the first part of the lesson than I predicted we would, so during this lesson I followed the rest of the lesson plan we didn't finish. I learned that pronunciation practice/modeling takes much more time than expected

  • Intro: (10min)

    • Ask about Fourth of July
    • Go over homework critiques (pronunciation mistakes from text: both good, big cup of hot coffee, computer, plosives in general)
  • Performance of a Text (35min)

    • Sandra will read a B1 text aloud by herself without any modeling
    • Use elicitation and metalinguistic clues as methods of correction
    • Go over mistakes in pronunciation by reading them yourself and having her repeat

    Wrap-Up:

    • Repeat/go-over mistakes that she made continuously
    • Summarize main points
    • Assign Homework
